I got married in October 2009 in Santa Barbara and had the most amazing vendors that made my day absolutely perfect.  Harrison Douglas Photography do the most amazing photography.  They do everything from unique funky shots to perfect beauty shots.  They catch the true essence of your wedding.  My husband and I couldn't have been more lucky then to find them, because remember your wedding pictures are what you look back on to remember how perfect and amazing your wedding day was.  If I can give any advice to any soon to be bride out there is to pick your wedding photographers carefully.  Choose someone you click with and whom understands you and what your looking for.  Harrison Douglas were those photographers for us, they made us feel special and captured everything we asked for.  Bottom line is they are absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!

      Harrison and Kim should be invited to photograph at any wedding. Not only because of their beautiful work but because they are so much fun to work with. Once we saw their reasonable prices and met them in person we were very excited with our choice of wedding photographers. We were married at Fess Parker Double Tree in Santa Barbara. It was so great to have two photographers there to capture two different views. On our wedding day we were thrilled with their excitement and their passion to capture the perfect photo.  And capture they did!  We were more than impressed with the resulting wedding photos. We received some of the most beautiful and artistic wedding photos we have ever seen.  And on top of that they not only shot every photo we requested but they remembered to included all family members and other important guests.  Harrison and Kim we cannot thank you enough for capturing our perfect day! We love our wedding photo memories!

      The day of our wedding, Kim and Harrison were there with us every step of the way capturing the fun, sweet, intimate and playful moments. They were with us the entire day (no time limits). Our day was amazing on so many levels but as our constant shadows for the day, they were able to add a level of fun and adventure to our experience. We had some good laughs! It was clear to us that Kim and Harrison knew their stuff, were passionate about their work, and were just as excited as we were about our day and our pictures. They took nearly 800 photos of our wedding day using a variety of techniques (e.g. black and white, sepia, infrared, color; used both film and digital). Viewing our photos, we knew we had struck gold with Harrison Douglas Photography. As we went through them, they invoked the feelings of our day. Yes we were a bit sentimental as we went through them, laughing and shedding a tear now and then over the beauty that they captured. Our ceremony was at Alice Keck Park and they were able to capture us and the beauty of the park perfectly. They did it again at various photo spots throughout Santa Barbara (East Beach, the Courthouse, and Hotel Mar Monte). It did make it difficult for us to pick the final photos for our wedding album but that is a great compliment to the quality of their work. We highly recommend Harrison Douglas as a wedding photographer.

      I just want to thank Harrison and Kim Douglas for making my wedding photos the most treasured memories of that amazing day! They were on time, they have no time limits so I think Kim and Harrison worked a 10-hour day that day! Thank you, thank you! Friend and family, have commented on how beautiful the wedding photos turned out. The great part is, they are all so natural and fun! You can definitely tell that Harrison and Kim love what they do, because they would get so excited after the take of each picture, they had my new hubby laughing and giggling through our entire shoot! There are over 900 pictures, it really makes it hard to choose from when I had to pick the 100 to put in my coffee table book. I love the wedding photo album, it's so professional looking, kind of like a photography magazine. I definitely recommend Harrison and Kim Douglas! Well worth every penny and for that matter, I think you came in with the best cost for everything!

Harrison and Kim Douglas are very professional and make everyone comfortable. As an experienced artist myself (painting) I was very selective about who I would trust to capture the most precious moments on my wedding day!       Harrison Douglas Photography Rocks! Our wedding was a bit of a whirlwind as we had to evacuate our house as well as the place we were going to get married the day before our wedding. We had a last minute change of plans due to the Santa Barbara fire. Harrison Douglas photography were so great they traveled the extra distance to make it for our big day. The wedding ended up at Quicksilver Ranch in Santa Ynez. They were very professional as well as I felt very comfortable with them. The photos all turned out beautiful. I totally recommend them as they are a pleasure to work with.

      Harrison and Kimmy are totally bitchin! Haha. luv ya Harrison! They are a husband/wife team, and if you’re lucky like we were, you might even meet their son. We were married in Santa Barbara at the Fess Parker Double Tree. They capture everything you want from your wedding. They are there for every moment even though you hardly notice them in the rush of things. There work is amazing! And best of all, they're fun to work with. They really made us feel like a part of the family. It’s easy to relax around them. They are such sweet/kind people, but really know how to have fun with their work too. The angles they shoot at, the ideas they come up with, how fast they work, shooting digital and film....they really have a lot to offer. You'd be missing out if you don’t choose them for your special day, whatever that may be. Thanks for everything you two, (and thank JD for us too!) you do truly amazing things with a camera.       We used Harrison Douglas Photography for our wedding back in August on 8/8/08. We picked a very popular date, but researched photographers early so that we'd get the best for our wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo (amazing and unique location!). They were wonderful. Their personalities were so cool, we might have used them regardless of how good their pictures were - luckily their pictures are amazing! They were so great to work with, very laid back and creative and very open to our needs and scheduling. They were very unobtrusive during the day/evening - I've been to weddings where the photographers are all over the place and are quite distracting to guests. Not Harrison and Kim! They were cool enough to BE guests, but really kept out of the way and yet their pictures make that hard to believe. They caught all the wonderful, funny, random candid moments and also did an amazing job with the more formal portrait pictures. I'd highly recommend them for any wedding venue. They make excellent use of lighting and are very patient - my husband blinks ALL the time in photos... except for our wedding photos! Thanks, Kim and Harrison.

      Kim and Harrison Douglas were by far the best photographers for our wedding. Their work is outstanding, they are so down to earth and friendly, and they offered very affordable packages to choose from. What we liked the best was their time was unlimited, plus you get two photographers for the price of one. They both have such a keen eye for knowing what shot is "the perfect" shot, we can't wait to get our pictures back and take a short journey back in time to our perfect day. They both would get pretty excited when they were capturing a great shot, which made us laugh every time. We're so happy we chose them for our wedding, they are the best!

      We booked Harrison Douglas Photography  (www.harrisondouglasphoto.com)  for our Oct 4th Elings Park wedding  in Santa Barbara and I am so glad we did.  Kim and Harrison were so amazing to work with.  On the morning of our wedding it rained during our bride and groom photo shoot, and I was so worried our photos would look gray and gloomy but they turned out to be some of the best photos of the day.  Kim and Harrison trooped around in the rain with us to capture some truly spectacular wedding shots.  Both are very professional and they offer the best price packages among all of the photographers I spoke with, but beyond that they really knew how to make me feel beautiful while posing for pictures which is extremely uncomfortable for me.  I can't say enough great things about them, the photos we got of our wedding were far better then my wildest expectations and I am completely thrilled.  They got all of the shots we asked for and took the best candid photos that are my best memories of the wedding.

      I was just married this September at Alice Keck Park in Santa Barbara with Harrison Douglas Photography as our photographers, and they were phenomenal! Working with them:  They are such easy going people, with a lot of warmth and sweetness that really puts you at ease.  They listen to what you want and give it to you.  They are also very organized - which, if you've started planning your wedding - you'll realize is really important in a vendor.  We also did the engagement shoot with them and my husband was so confidant in how it would turn out because he didn't feel awkward at all, which really helped him be natural in his photos.  On our wedding day, they made sure to let us know when we were getting off of schedule, but at the same time, were very flexible and patient.  My grandmother has Alzheimer's and they were very good with her and with planning the photo shoot in a way that made things easier for her, which I really appreciated. The results: Fantastic!  When I saw the dvd of our wedding, I cried.  And when I saw the proofs, I knew it wouldn't be easy to choose pics for the album.  There were so many that both my husband and I loved.  And people who have seen the dvd all have different opinions on which are their favorites, so that tells you how good they all are.  They got formal shots, but also spontaneous ones that really will help us to remember the spoofs of the day, as well as the great things that happened when we weren't there.  Also, we now have our favorite engagement shot hanging on our wall.  It was the result of the Harrison Douglas Photography daring - they aren't afraid of breaking a few rules or going out of their way if they think it will make a good shot.
      Pricing: Very reasonable.  And the engagement shoot was a steal in our opinion! 
      To sum up, thank you Harrison Douglas - your photos reflected the same beauty that we remembered on our wedding day.

      I wanted say how happy my husband I were with our photographers, Harrison and Kim. They are wonderful people and great photographers. They warmly welcomed us into their home (where they have on display their beautiful and interesting art), worked with us on a price to meet our budget, and had an AMAZING energy on the day of our wedding. We had our pictures taken on the beach before our wedding at Eling's Park and our bridal party thought that was an event in and of itself because H and K were so high energy and fun. Our wedding & engagement pictures turned out beautifully! We have some gorgeous photos of us sitting in the beautiful oak trees at Eling's park and my husband running into the ocean caring me in his arms at the beach. HD is one of the few Santa Barbara photographers we found that will actually give you all the proofs and a CD with all the pictures. I highly recommend them for your wedding in the Santa Barbara area.
